Fossil Rim Wildlife Center

Scott and I went on a trip to Glen Rose, TX for our anniversary. We haven't gone away together and left Branson with someone in his whole life (that I can remember!). We stayed in a bed and breakfast, went to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, went to the Creation Evidence Museum, and ate A LOT! It was a lot of fun, but my favorite thing by far was the wildlife center. So fun! It is a preserve that has free roaming animals that you can just drive through. It is a 9.5 mile drive that took us over two hours. Mostly because you have to stop and feed the animals or wait for them to get out of the road. They know you have food and they come right up to the car! Way better than the zoo!

Obviously, by my pictures, the giraffes were my favorite. Such a neat animal and HUGE when you get close!

These deer weren't skittish at all!

The zebras kept coming right up to the car. They look so much like horses that you forget they are wild and not very nice. There were signs around that said "Zebras Bite!". So...I left my window up a little so he wouldnt bite me. :) How beautiful!!

This video is of my very favorite part! That giraffe was eating food from our car THROUGH our sunroof! It was so great! The video isn't outstanding, but just the size of the animal amazes me. He had his head all the way in our car and it was still sticking out the top. Just his head! It definately made me awe at our wonderful God and his infinate creativity behind each of these uniue animals. Enjoy!
