8 Months Old!

Branson was 8 months old on Christmas Eve, but...better late than never, right? :-) I am trying to do better about documenting what is happening at each age because I know I am going to forget!!

Branson, you are such a joy to have around. You do new things every day and it is so fun to watch you grow and learn. You LOVE being able to crawl around and stand up on everything. So much so that one of your previous favorite things (the bathtub) isnt as fun anymore because it is the one place that we wont let you stand up! Bummer! You still have fun in the tub, but you get told "no" alot because of trying to stand up.
You have been sucking on your fingers ALOT, so maybe those teeth are trying to come in, but....nothing so far. Your Daddy didnt get teeth until he was a year old, so maybe you are following in his footsteps. I got my first ones at 7 months.
You had so much fun at Christmas, playing with all of your new toys and especially the paper they came in! You were too funny.
You started waving bye bye this month, which is so cute! You also have very strong opinions about things and definately know how to tell us what they are. (Not that that is any different from any other month!) You started throwing small temper fits when you got mad by arching your back and throwing your head back. Then you discovered the lights and other cool things on the ceiling, so now you just throw your head back randomly to see the ceiling. It definately keeps Mom and Dad on their toes because we dont want to drop you when you try that! Too funny. (By the way, I am really worried about the "terrible twos" when he is already throwing temper tantrums at 8 months! Eek!)

You got sick this month and had fever for a few days. You were a very good sick baby. Not much fussing or anything, you just wanted to be held and wouldnt sleep unless someone was holding you. Such a sweet boy! I did take you to the doctor around your 8 month birthday and you weighed 20 lbs. 3 oz. and were 27 3/4 inches long. (W: 55% L: 40%) You are wearing mostly 12 month clothes, so maybe you will stay in those for awhile.

You are so much fun and we love you to pieces!
