7 Months Old

How time flies! Branson boy, you are truly one of a kind and we love you so much! It has been so much fun getting to know you a little bit more each month. We are so blessed that God gave you to us to watch, teach, and learn from. Your smile can make any bad day better.

You enjoy being the center of attention and have learned to tell us when you dont think we are giving you the attention you deserve. You will yell, we look at you, then you give us a sweet smile as if to say "ha..made you look." :-) You will play by yourself on the floor for short periods with your toys, but you prefer keys, cell phones, and remote controls.

Bath time is your most favorite thing right now. You would stay in the tub until the water was cold and your lips were purple. We dont let you stay in that long, but we give you plenty of time to play. Some days you even get a bath in the morning and at night because it is a sure way to put you into a good mood if you are fussy. We just started using the duck bathtub and you seem to like it. It keeps you from falling over when you lose your balance.

We have to keep a close eye on you though since you are pulling up and moving around so much more.
You have been acting like you are going to cut some teeth any minute but we havent seen anything yet. You are still a big eater and love to see food coming your way. So far you have eaten sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, peas, avocado, bananas, pears, peaches, and apples. Your favorites are definately carrots and bananas. We are also giving you zweiback toast and some apple puff things which you enjoy feeding yourself and making a huge mess!

Your sleeping has gotten better, but you are pretty inconsistant. You normally take two or three naps during the day and go to bed around 8:30. Recently you have been waking up in the night, which could be due to teething or being away from home. If I could figure it out, I would fix it in a heartbeat! :-) Overall, Mommy and Daddy are getting lots more sleep than they use to and we really appreciate it!

You are so close to crawling, but arent quite there yet. You are able to push up onto all fours and take one small step before falling back onto your tummy to r-e-a-c-h for the toy you want. Any day now you will be able to get all over the house on your own and I will be in big trouble!

You laugh and smile with us every day and we have so much fun with you. You are also very ticklish and I love the big boy belly laugh that escapes. So cute!

You have lots of people that love you, Bubba. It is a joy to watch you grow.
