Our trip to the beach was fairly short. Branson needed at nap when we got there, so he wasnt in the best mood to begin with. He really enjoyed playing in the sand/mud, but I got a little tired of trying to keep it out of his mouth. It squished really good between his toes and fingers, he loved it.

The water, however, was another story. He wasnt too sure about the waves that kept coming up to get him. I tried to lift him up so that they would only hit his legs, but I was thinking it would be like a wave pool and they would be consistent. I was wrong! One of them snuck up on me and hit Branson in the chest before I could lift him up far enough. He didnt really like it so much. I am glad dthat the salt water didnt get in his eyes because that wouldnt have been fun either.
So, we went back to the shallow water and hung out for awhile before going to the van to go to sleep. Scott tried to surf with Eric, but came back after about 15 minutes to sit with us. He didnt really like the salt in his mouth and eyes. He did say that he would give surfing another chance sometime.

Scott--just consider attempting to surf as another experience not to be relived anytime soon, especially in the Gulf of Mexico. Kinda yucky water...i knew you would have to try however!!
