Branson

Two days old already! I cant believe it! Wow....so much has happened that I am not sure I can even remember to write about all of it. The short story about his birth kinda goes like this: Went in Monday 23 and sent home because I wasnt progressing. By midnight that night, I was having contractions so bad that I was convinced it was the real thing, so we went up to the hospital and were admitted about 1:30. At 6:15 a.m. I had progressed to 3 cm and 100% effaced and they started Pitocin to help speed things along. The dr came in at 7:30 and I was dialated to 5 cm and he ordered the epidural. Of course, the anasthesiologist was busy and we had to wait about 30-45 minutes for the drugs! In the end, they only worked for about an hour anyway, but Branson didnt care, he was on his way! I can't say that I had my dream labor (no feeling from the neck down!!), but I am very thankful that it didnt last too much longer. By 10:49, we had the most beautiful baby boy!! Mom and Scott were wonderful. They actually had the ability to leave and didnt...I sure wanted to at some points! HA! Thanks for being there for me. Thanks also to all the wonderful guests we had in the hospital. We are home, doing well, and trying to get some rest. I'll post more pictures when I get a chance.
