38 weeks...Large and In Charge!

Ok, definately large, but not "in charge" at all! I think pregnancy is God's way of teaching me patience and I dont know that I am a very good learner! Here I am 38 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I went to the doctor last Monday and I was already dialated 1.5 cm and almost 50% effaced. I know that it isnt really anything to get too excited about since you can stay there for weeks, but I was still happy. At least it is less work I have to do when I actually go into labor...Im all about less work. :-)

Below is the big belly and if you look closely, the belly button! HA! You cant see it when I am sitting down, but when I stand up, I think Branson's weight is shifted forward and pushes it out. Funny!

As ready as I am for this baby to get here, I really dont have much to complain about. I have been having some contractions, but nothing major to speak of. I still have another week of work and I am definately ready for that to be over. I get tired really quickly. I am sure it is a combo of the extra weight and lack of sleep during the night. Between the frequent trips to the bathroom and the kitchen for some Maalox (my lifesaver!), it doesnt leave much time for some good ZZZZs. (Note: Maalox tastes better when it is refridgerated!)
