Granddaddy

My granddaddy passed away this past month. It was a sad time, although an answer to many prayers. He had been at Wincrest with Alzhiemers for the past 3 1/2 years and now he is with his Lord, the only place he would rather be than beside my grandmother. Granddaddy has been a wonderful influence in so many lives. My memories of him are from when I was younger....he always smelled like cherry chapstick, so that smell reminds me of him still. His prayers in church were always really long (like I said, the memory of a child, although my grownup self has a deep appreciation for his relationship with God.) Here is a picture of me and him that I hadnt even seen until recently. I just love the look of happiness on his face. He had many grandchildren and he loved us all! His funeral was really nice and it was fun to see all of the family again, even though the circumstances weren't the best.
